Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham university was established in last few years back only and now it has made its place in the top universities of the country. Nobel laureate Leland H Heartwell in 2011 joined this university as a faculty member. This university offers many programs to the students like Doctoral, post grad and under grad programs in the fields of Business, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, nursing, Ayurveda medicine pharmacy dentistry, social work, correspondence, instruction, and essential sciences. The two grounds, Amritapuri and Ettimadai, began as PC preparing focuses and advanced into schools, introduced as the Amrita Institute of Technology (AITEC). AITEC, Amritapuri was partnered to the University of Kerala and AITEC, Ettimadai was associated to Bharathiar University. In 2002, the universities were initiated again as Amrita School of Engineering when the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was conceived.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has five grounds, with home office in Ettimadai, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It has four different grounds: the Amritapuri and Kochi grounds in Kerala and the Bengaluru and Mysore grounds in Karnataka.
